Saudi student, Majid Alanzi, participated in the International Taekwondo Championship for Australia and New Zealand organized recently in South Australia. Alanzi achieved the gold championship for the second time consecutively, after defeating his Australian rival by 6 points to nil. This achievement is a good result of the Saudi Student Clubs’ activities in Australia, which provide the students with the opportunity to manifest their abilities and participate in international sport competitions. Alanzi is enrolled in Master of Business Management (Finance)course at Flinders University.

On the other hand, another Saudi student, Abdullah Alghamdi, achieved SA Boxing Championship which ended on Saturday 12th September, 2015. The championship final bout was attended by a great number of Saudi students in Adelaide. The Saudi Student Clubs in Australia attach high importance to sport activities, considering them a good environment for students to get together and socialize. Alghamdi is studying Bachelor of Paramedics degree at Flinders University,.

Dr. Abdulaziz Bin Taleb, the Saudi Cultural Attaché to Australia has congratulated both students on their honorable achievements, and described them as an indication of success of the clubs’ activities. Dr. Bin Taleb also highlighted the important role these activities play in benefiting from the experience of studying abroad. He wished success for all Saudi students in their academic and professional endeavors.
