Dr. Abdulaziz Bin Taleb, the Saudi Cultural Attaché to Australia, met in his office in Canberra on Tuesday 2nd of June, 2015 a delegation from Monash University. The delegation was headed by Professor Abid Khan, Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice President (Global Engagement) and accompanied by Dr. Nizar Farjou, Director, Middle East & North Africa; Jenniver Coster, Senior Director of Studies, Monash English Language Centre; Anne Bright, Director, Monash University Foundation Year, and other staff members from different units and sections of the university. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Waleed Ghandoura, Deputy Cultural Attaché (Academic Affairs), and a number of SACM’s staff members and academic advisors.

A number of important topics were discussed, including enrolment and admission procedures; helping Saudi students throughout all levels of study and providing a supportive academic environment for them. The meeting also discussed opportunities of research and scientific co-operation between Saudi education institutions and Monash University. The delegation also highlighted services and courses of Monash University and answered all questions and queries raised at the meeting.
