The Saudi Cultural Attaché to Australia, Dr. Abdulaziz Bin Taleb has received Dr. Abdullah Al-Ofeis the director general of Gifted Education at Saudi Ministry of Education, who is currently visiting Australia. The Cultural Attaché welcomed the guest and toured with him throughout SACM’s departments, explaining the role of each department and highlighting SACM’s contribution to enriching cultural and scientific exchange between Saudi Arabia and Australia. Dr. Bin Taleb also briefed him about SACM’s initiatives toward enhancing communication with the Australian society, such as the translation initiative, SACM’s Permanent Exhibition and Open Day, SACM’s English website and Twitter account. The guest was also briefed about the services and support SACM provides to Saudi students in Australia. The role of Saudi student clubs, programs of gifted students in Australia, young leaders’ preparation programs, and Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 have also been discussed.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Attaché for Cultural and Social Affairs, Dr. Abbas Brashi, and Assistant Director of Technical Support, Fahd Al-Ghamdi. At the end of the visit, Dr. Al-Ofeis thanked the Cultural Attaché and SACM’s staff for their hospitality and warm reception, praising SACM’s role and initiatives. He also wished Saudi students in Australia success in their present and future endeavours.
