Student Section

The Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission (SACM) will always endeavor to address any concerns students might have. Our dedicated friendly staff play a significant role in the organization growth and do their best to achieve the set goals to the benefit of students and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. SACM is always there to provide financial, academic and social support to all sponsored students, so that they can achieve their educational goals toward successful careers. SACM also supervises Saudi Student Clubs in Australia, through which students can engage in social and cultural activities and make use of several services provided by SACM.

Saudi Student Clubs in Australia

The Saudi Student Clubs represent Saudi students and their companions in Australia, with one Club in every city. The Club oversees Saudi Student Societies affiliated to it, with one society for every university in the same city. The Clubs operate under supervision of the Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission to Australia (SACM). All Saudi sponsored and non sponsored students and their companions are eligible for Saudi Student Clubs membership.

Objectives

• To reflect cultural, scientific and historical aspects of Saudi Arabia.
• To foster relationships and co-operation with academic and student communities at the Australian universities.
• To assist new students to overcome difficulties pertaining to study, accommodation and settling in.
• To help students participate in academic and student activities through Saudi Student Societies.
• To liaise with local community centers and organizations in order to enhance positive image about Saudi students.

Services

• Coordinating participation of Saudi students in conferences, workshops and events.
• Facilitating participation of Saudi students in events organized by universities and educational institutions.
• Producing publications about the Clubs’ events and students’ achievements.
• Organizing orientation sessions for new students and their companions.
• Assisting new students to enroll their dependents with Australian educational institutions.
• Providing lessons to students’ children on the Saudi curriculum in addition to the Australian curriculum.
• Assisting new students to enroll their children in the Saudi distant learning system.
• Coordinating Saudi curriculum tests for students’ children.

Activities

• Celebrating Eid Al Fitr, Eid Al Adha and the Saudi National Day and coordinating participation of students in these events.
• Organizing regular information sessions and programs for students on Australian rules and lifestyles.
• Participating in graduation ceremonies.
• Organizing exhibitions on the culture and development of Saudi Arabia.
• Organizing and supervising educational, cultural, social and sports activities of members and their companions.
• Representing Saudi students at educational and academic conferences and cultural events.
• Organizing academic and social workshops and competitions for Saudi students.
• Maintaining the official website for the Club.

Saudi Student Societies

Saudi Student Societies are the executive tools of the Saudi Student Clubs. The Society consists of a group of Saudi students at one university. Activities of Saudi Student Societies contain the following:
• Receiving new students to the university, provide possible assistance to them and holding orientation sessions for them.
• Organizing social, sports and cultural events, as well as exhibitions, seminars and lectures.
• Participating in academic and international days held at the university.
• Any other activities organized by the Club.

Educational Services for Sponsored Students’ Children

Educational Services for Sponsored Students’ Children are educational services provided to all members of Saudi Student Clubs to assist them with their children’s education, including:
• Assistance in enrolling students’ children with Australian educational institutions.
• Assistance in enrolling students’ children for Saudi distant learning system.
• Coordinating Saudi curriculum tests for students’ children.
