Saudi Student Clubs in Australia organized several scientific activities this year, including many workshops and scientific seminars at Australian university venues. Saudi sponsored students widely participated in these important activities across Australian cities.
The Saudi Student Club in Sydney organized the “First Scientific Forum” at the University of Sydney, where a number of Saudi sponsored students presented their scientific papers highlighting outcomes of their Masters and PhD researches. The papers covered several fields such as: medicine, medical science, engineering, computer science, humanities, management and education.
The Saudi Student Club in Brisbane also organized a number of workshops. The Saudi 2014 Rolex Laureate Dr. Hosam Zawawi delivered a lecture entitled “The Path to Distinction” at one of the workshops organized by the Club under the title “Academic Tour in the World of Research”. At the same workshop, researcher Arafat Al Jameel, also delivered a lecture entitled “Important Language Skills for Researchers”.
The Saudi students in Melbourne competed for prizes of the contest organized by Saudi Student Club under the title “Your Thesis in 3 Minutes”. The Club also organized a seminar on scientific research, which aimed at delivering two training programs – a program on drafting scientific researches using “Microsoft Word 2013”, and another program on generating and formatting references using “Mondly” and “Endnote” software tools.
A number of scientific events and cultural and educational seminars were also organized in Gold Coast and Adelaide by Saudi Student Clubs.
